Professional Development Pathways

Business | Creative Industries

Grow. Lead. Create.

My professional development workshops bring theatre practice into business and the creative industries in ways that are practical, engaging and relevant to the people in the room.

Drawing on decades of experience in theatre, education and facilitation, I use approaches from the rehearsal room to explore communication, collaboration, leadership, creativity and the way we work with others.

The work is active. Participants do not simply sit and listen. They take part, test ideas, rehearse different approaches, reflect on what happens and consider how the learning can be applied in their own setting.

There are two pathways. The Business pathway focuses on the people skills that shape working life – communication, leadership, teamwork, confidence, listening, creativity and responding to change. The Creative Industries pathway creates space for artists, theatre-makers, facilitators and creative teams to examine practice, develop ideas and strengthen how they work together.

The two pathways are distinct, but they come from the same place: the rehearsal room. It is a space where we listen closely, work with others, bond, build rapport, take risks, respond to change, receive feedback and try again. Those habits are valuable far beyond performance.
Each workshop can stand alone or form part of a longer programme. Sessions are shaped around the people taking part, the questions they are bringing and the context in which they work.
